Advocate for evaluation-driven development and make it easy for the team to write and run evals
Partner with product and ML engineers to integrate evaluation requirements into agent development from day one
Take full ownership of large product areas rather than executing on narrow tasks
You are an engineer who believes that evaluations are foundational to building reliable AI systems, not a nice-to-have. The following operating principles should resonate with you:
Evaluation-first mindset: You understand that for an AI company, not being able to evaluate a new model quickly is unacceptable
AI-native instincts: You treat LLMs, agents, and automation as fundamental building blocks and parts of the craft of engineering
Data-driven rigor: You make decisions based on metrics and are obsessed with measuring what matters
Production-oriented: You understand that evaluations must work on real production behavior, not just offline datasets
Strong product judgment: You can decide what matters and why, without waiting for guidance, not just how to implement it
Bias to building: You move fast and build working systems rather than perfect specifications
We care more about capability and trajectory than years on a resume, but most strong candidates will have:
Multiple years of experience shipping production software in complex, real-world systems
Experience with TypeScript, React, Python, and Postgres
Built and deployed LLM-powered features serving production traffic
Implemented evaluation frameworks for model outputs and agent behaviors
Designed observability or tracing infrastructure for AI/ML systems

Balancing automation with human oversight: Knowing when to automate and when to surface decisions to experts
Production feedback loops: Turning real-world agent failures into systematic improvements
Explaining AI decisions: Making all forms of AI outputs and agent reasoning transparent and trustworthy
Evaluation for nuanced domains: Structuring data and feedback for workflows where ground truth requires expert judgment
High-impact visibility: Your work directly enables leadership to confidently communicate AI quality to the board and customers

SalesJack is the sales platform built specifically for lumber yards and building materials dealers. We integrate directly with dealer ERPs, surface declining accounts and cross-sell gaps automatically, and turn building permit data into routed leads for outside sales reps. Customers like PARR Lumber have driven $500K+ in new revenue in six months using our workflows.
We're a small, founder-led team selling into a $700B industry that's been ignored by generic CRMs for decades. The dealers we sell to are 50- to 500-person businesses run by owners and GMs who care deeply about their teams, their margins, and their customers. They want a partner who understands their business, not a sales rep reading a script.
We're hiring our next Account Executive to own the full sales cycle into independent LBM dealers across North America. This is a consultative, multi-stakeholder sale. Deals involve owners, sales managers, IT leads, and finance and the conversation centers on how a dealer runs their sales operation, not on feature checklists.
You'll inherit a defined ICP, a target account list, warm inbound from our content and events motion, and a product with live reference customers. You'll work directly with the founders on positioning, pricing, and product feedback. Your input will shape what we build and how we go to market.
Full cycle ownership from first conversation through signed contract and successful pilot discovery, demo, pilot scoping, business case, procurement, and close
A defined territory of independent LBM dealers, with named target accounts and a pipeline you'll build through a mix of outbound, warm inbound, partner referrals (LMC, LBM Advantage), and conference follow-up
Multi-stakeholder deal navigation: building consensus across owners, sales leadership, operations, and IT, often over 60-120 day cycles
Pilot management: partnering with our implementation team to scope and run paid pilots that convert to full deployments
Account expansion within your book as dealers add locations, users, and adjacent product modules
GTM influence: direct input into messaging, pricing structure, competitive positioning, and product roadmap based on what you hear in the field
3-5+ years closing B2B SaaS deals: ideally selling to mid-market companies with multiple decision-makers
Consultative selling instincts: you build business cases, lead executive conversations, and earn trust with operators who've seen plenty of vendors come and go
Comfort with technical sales: you can speak credibly about ERP integrations, data workflows, and how a sales team actually operates day-to-day
Founder-mode bias: you want input on the product, the pricing, and the playbook, and you're energized by building rather than executing someone else's process
Industry knowledge is a strong plus: experience selling into construction, building products, manufacturing, or distribution will accelerate your ramp significantly. Direct LBM background is exceptional but not required.
Early team, defined market. You're not a number on a board. You'll be one of a handful of AEs owning a clear segment of a large, underserved industry.
Direct founder access. You'll work alongside the CEO and co-founder on every meaningful deal, with real influence on how the company evolves.
Compensation built for closers. Competitive base, uncapped commission, and meaningful equity.
Path forward. Early AEs at SalesJack are on track for senior AE, strategic accounts, and sales leadership seats as we grow.

Strong sense of pacing, mood, and visual aesthetics.
Experience with prompting and AI-generated visual workflows is a strong plus.
Interest in AI-powered creative tools and the future of filmmaking.
Willingness to complete a test assignment focused on generating cinematic AI content.
Competitive salary in USD.

Want to work on next-level radar tech, solve real problems, and never have to pretend your job has meaning?
You’ll fit right in, we’re saving you a seat.
How do you turn a decades-old dataset into an industry-leading medical coding agent? Teach an AI receptionist to book appointments in Spanish? Automatically generate working data connectors from API docs? Build agents that write, test, and deploy their own software packages?
Fractional AI is focused on putting frontier AI to work. We're a group of veteran Silicon Valley builders who care deeply about getting complex AI systems built right, with strong conviction about what makes them succeed.
We're backed by Anthropic, Blackstone, Hellman & Friedman, Goldman Sachs, General Atlantic, Leonard Green & Partners, Apollo Global Management, GIC, and Sequoia Capital.
On May 20, we became the founding team behind a new AI services business led by Anthropic, Blackstone, and Hellman & Friedman.
We're a CEO's first call when they're thinking about AI transformation. To deliver on that promise at scale, we need to deepen our bench, building the partnerships and capabilities that let us offer a truly holistic, end-to-end solution across the AI transformation lifecycle.
A meaningful portion of our growth will come from how we partner with and acquire other players in this space. This role exists to own that motion, from mapping the landscape, to curating 'win-win-win' opportunities, closing deals, and driving successful integration.
You'll work directly with our CEO to identify, structure, and execute these opportunities. This is a senior, high-ownership role with direct exposure to the most consequential decisions we make as a company.
Service line expansion. Define how we expand across the AI transformation lifecycle. Identify and prioritize where to build, partner, or acquire in each.
Partnerships. Build and scale our AI services through partnerships. Design and execute programs that turn partners into revenue-generating channels, including joint GTM motions, co-selling frameworks, and shared pipeline development.
M&A. Source and evaluate acquisition targets. Run diligence, structure deals, and drive execution. Own integration and ensure acquisitions translate into real capabilities.
You've operated at the intersection of commercial and technical — as a founder, investor, or operator — and have the scars and instincts to show for it. You know how to build relationships that turn into revenue, and how to close.
You've seen the full M&A lifecycle, from sourcing through integration, and know what separates a deal that creates real capability from one that looks good on paper.
You have sharp judgment on the AI landscape. You know what's real and what's hype, where the white space is, and how the pieces fit together across the enterprise transformation stack.
You build trust quickly with senior stakeholders and are as comfortable in a boardroom as you are rolling up your sleeves to get a deal across the line.
High agency, low ego. You operate comfortably in ambiguity, with a bias toward action and a track record to back it up.
Overdeliver: We are writing the playbook on how to create enterprise value with LLMs, and building our reputation as the world's best applied AI team.
Overuse AI: We go out of our way to experiment with the latest tools and share what we learn with our teammates — building a culture at the frontier.
Over "engineer" the culture: For every big decision, we ask "would this make Fractional a better or worse place for our team?"

Ramp is building the smart infrastructure for finance teams, embedded in the transaction flow of every dollar a business spends. We automate how over $100B in annualized spend flows in and out of 50,000+ companies: authorizing payments, flagging risk, categorizing spend, and closing books.
The problems are high-stakes, data-dense, and unforgiving.
We hire people with high agency and high urgency. We look for slope over intercept. We care less about where you trained and more about what you’ve built. At Ramp, everyone is a builder who owns problems end to end and makes consequential decisions that shape the outcome.
The median Ramp customer saves 5% and grows revenue 16% in their first year – far in excess of businesses operating without Ramp. We believe every ambitious company deserves the same.
If you want to build systems that directly shape how companies move and manage billions, Ramp is the place to do it.
Ramp is hiring an experienced Executive Assistant to support senior leaders within our Engineering organization. This role partners closely with the Chief of Staff to the CTO and sits at the center of a large, fast-moving technical organization.
This is not a role for someone learning what a great EA partnership looks like — it's a role for someone who already knows, and can model it. Many of the leaders you'll support are exceptional engineers and first-time managers who are still building the habits, structures, and delegation muscles that make an EA relationship work. Your job is to meet them where they are and show them what's possible — proactively shaping how they work with you, building the foundation, and raising the bar for how the org operates.
You don't need an engineering background. You do need genuine curiosity about software, a natural comfort in technical environments, and the confidence to operate at a high level alongside people who think in systems, move fast, and expect substance over polish.
This role is based in our New York office in Chelsea. We default to being in the office at least three days a week.
Please note: candidates may only apply to one Executive Assistant role at this time. We encourage you to review each posting carefully and apply to the role that best aligns with your experience, interests, and long-term goals.
Partner closely with the Chief of Staff to the CTO to support Engineering leadership across a large, multi-team organization
Own complex calendar management across multiple Engineering executives, with a strong instinct for protecting time and enabling deep work
Act as a connective layer across technical programs — tracking deliverables, flagging gaps, and keeping leadership informed without adding overhead
Actively coach and orient engineering leaders who are new to working with EA support — helping them build the habits and structures that make the partnership work
Establish clear operating norms with each leader you support: how to delegate, what to hand off, and how to communicate so nothing falls through the cracks
Coordinate recruiting logistics, candidate pipelines, and interview schedules across high-volume engineering hiring
Support planning and execution of engineering offsites, all-hands, team events, and leadership working sessions
Draft and manage communications on behalf of executives including technical team updates and cross-functional alignment
Manage budgets and spend for engineering leadership events and team programs
Use AI and automation tools to eliminate repetitive work and create leverage for yourself and your executives
Serve as backup EA support to the CTO when primary coverage is unavailable
3+ years of experience supporting senior executives, with a track record that demonstrates increasing scope and complexity
Confidence and credibility to work with first-time leaders — you know how to educate upward and shape a working relationship, not just react to one
Genuine curiosity about technology and software — you don't need to write code, but you should find it interesting and feel at home in technical conversations
Proven ability to manage complex, high-volume calendars across multiple stakeholders with competing priorities
Strong project management instincts — you track what matters, surface the right things at the right time, and know when to push
Sound judgment and discretion when handling sensitive organizational, hiring, and technical information
Clear, direct communication skills — engineering leaders value precision and brevity
High EQ and the ability to build trust quickly with people who are skeptical of administrative overhead
Comfort operating in ambiguity and taking full ownership without being asked
Strong proficiency with Google Workspace, Slack, and modern collaboration tools
Demonstrated use of AI, automation, or tooling to streamline work and create leverage
Experience supporting CTOs, VPs of Engineering, or technical co-founders
Familiarity with how engineering teams plan and operate (roadmaps, sprints, org design)
Background in a high-growth startup at scale
Track record of establishing EA operating norms from scratch — building the playbook, not just following one

Scope automates the data collection that’s slowing down the physical world.
Standards are vital for the safety of our infrastructure. Spending hours manually documenting them is not.
Dave is an inspector. Today he’s climbing through one of Europe’s biggest chemical plants, looking for the corrosion that could shut the whole site down, with a notebook and pen in hand. Tomorrow, he’ll spend even longer on the part of the job he hates: turning those scribbles into a report.
We’re building the best AI-native data collection layer for the 2 billion field workers like Dave. Scope radically simplifies how inspectors collect data in the field, make decisions, and produce reports. Along the way, we’re building the world’s largest dataset on the condition of the built world and the decisions experts make about it.
It’s a $2T market and we’re just getting started, with ambitions. We have grown revenue 10x in the last year and on track to reach 10M ARR in 2026. We work with 6 of the top 10 companies in the space. Our customers inspect facilities and products for companies including AstraZeneca and SpaceX.
We’ve assembled a best-in-class team: acquired and future founders, people from institutions like Imperial, Carnegie Mellon and Oxford, and from firms like Goldman Sachs, Flexport and Amazon.
We’ve raised an oversubscribed $4m in seed funding from Susa Ventures.
We work in service of giving inspectors superpowers, building report writing tools that changes their lives and jobs - and increases company bottom line margins 10-20%, cuts reporting time 80% and doubles their capacity overnight.
As an Deployment Associate, you will be the operational engine behind our AI deployments. This isn't just about following processes; it's about building structure from ambiguity, uncovering new use cases, and constantly improving the end-user experience for inspectors. You'll be instrumental in driving efficiency, executing flawlessly under high expectations, and ensuring our operations scale as fast as our revenue.
What You'll Do:
Template & Process Building: Build, manage, and scale critical operational templates from the ground up, taking minimal information or guidance and turning it into clear, actionable structure.
Creative Problem Solving: Proactively solve roadblocks to elevate and improve the daily experience of the inspectors using our technology.
Autonomous Execution: Operate with an incredibly high degree of autonomy. You will be expected to work independently, find your own solutions, and deliver consistently strong results without needing constant direction.
Client Engagement: Leverage excellent communication skills to support deployments, with a clear runway to eventually handle client meetings independently or alongside the broader deployment team.
Growth & Technical Expansion: Treat this role as a launchpad. By demonstrating strong technical skills and flawless execution, you will rapidly unlock access to more complex, challenging, and highly rewarding work.
About Scope: We are a venture-backed AI startup in London (Clerkenwell) with a mission to transform industrial safety and efficiency. We offer a fast-paced, high-ownership environment where your contributions directly impact national infrastructure and critical operations. We've grown revenue 10x in one year and scaling into hyper-growth.
What We're Looking For: A high performer who takes immense pride in their work and genuinely enjoys getting things done. You must be a highly autonomous self-starter who thrives under high expectations and can navigate ambiguity without waiting to be told what to do. We're looking for someone with a strong academic foundation from a top-tier university (think Oxbridge, Imperial, UCL, LSE, or international equivalents such as Ivy League, Carnegie Mellon, or similar), reflective of the calibre of the team you'll be joining. Excellent communication skills are a must, to collaborate with the team effectively, and potentially step up to interface directly with clients. If you have a knack for improving user experiences, love solving unstructured problems, and are eager to prove your technical capabilities to accelerate your career, you will thrive here.
Compensation & Location: This role offers a competitive base salary of £30-40k, depending on experience and skill.
This is a London-based role, requiring 5 days/week onsite work at our Clerkenwell office. To be upfront: this isn't a standard 9-5. We typically work 9-7, reflecting the pace and ambition of a team in hyper-growth. To make those days easier, we provide daily lunch and a fully stocked snack supply in the office, so you're well fuelled to do your best work.
If you're excited by the challenge of building the operational backbone of transformative AI deployments in critical industries and have a passion for driving real-world impact with a high-growth startup, we want to hear from you.
Please note: we're unable to provide visa sponsorship for this role. You'll need existing right to work in the UK to apply.
Sydney, Hybrid
Haast just closed a $12M Series A backed by Peak XV Partners, DST Global, and Airtree. If the best part of your consulting career has been solving the hardest problems in the room, but you're tired of handing off the deck and watching from a distance, this is where you step in.
We aren't experimenting with AI. We're shipping one of the first enterprise-grade agentic platforms for legal and compliance teams, and it's already in production with global enterprises.
In two years: compliance review times cut by 80%. Productivity up 4x. 4.5x revenue growth.
Design has Canva. Projects have Atlassian. Compliance has Haast.
We're targeting a $50B global market and are in the early stages of US expansion, with strong ANZ enterprise traction already behind us.
We're a small, fast-moving team and the founders are still deeply in the work. As we scale, we need someone who can sit alongside leadership, take the ambiguous problems off their plate, and drive them to a resolution.
This isn't a chief-of-staff coordination role. It's a strategic operating role for someone who can diagnose what's broken, design the fix, and own execution end-to-end. You'll move across every function: Sales, Customer Success, Product, Finance, and GTM. Some problems will be simple fix. Some will reshape how we operate forever.
Strategy & Planning
Work directly with the founders on OKR setting, business planning, and GTM strategy as we scale into the US
Drive board and investor-level reporting; synthesise performance data into clear strategic recommendations
Diagnosis & Execution
Jump into high-priority operational problems across Sales, CS, Product, and Finance on sprint cycles of two to four weeks
Identify root causes, not just symptoms; bring a solution with a point of view, not a list of options
Operating Infrastructure
Build the playbooks and processes that let us scale without accumulating operational debt
Own the metrics that matter; pricing performance, sales funnel efficiency, retention patterns, and surface insights the business can act on
Product & Engineering Interface
When you identify an operational problem with a technology fix, scope it clearly and work with engineering to ship it
Who We're Looking For
You've come through a top-tier strategy consulting firm (MBB or equivalent) and have two to four years of experience. You might be a senior associate or engagement manager who's been looking for the right moment to step into an operator role.
Or perhaps you've moved into a high-growth startup after consulting and want to go deeper than your current scope allows.
Either way, the pattern is the same: you're a rigorous thinker who doesn't stop at the analysis. You want to own the outcome.
Why Join Haast
Real ownership from week one. You're not writing the summary of what happened in the meeting. You're in the meeting, shaping the decision, and accountable for what comes next
Meaningful equity. We're building in a $50B market and we share the upside with the people doing the work
Learning velocity. You'll work alongside a founding team with MBB and top-tier law backgrounds who are unusually willing to teach
Variety. Your scope will shift every few weeks. No two sprints are the same
Sydney-based, genuinely flexible. We work from our Sydney office and support arrangements that let people do their best work
How to Apply
Send us your CV and a short note answering this question:
Tell us about a time you diagnosed a genuinely ambiguous, high-stakes problem. What did you decide to do about it, and what was the outcome?
No closing date. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
At Haast, bold ideas come from diverse perspectives. We're committed to building a team that reflects the world we work in. Even if you don't tick every box, we'd love to hear from you.

We’re looking for a Senior Product Designer to lead end-to-end UX and product design across both our student-facing and university-facing platforms.
As EdVisorly’s dedicated in-house designer, you’ll partner closely with Product, Engineering, and company leadership to create elegant, intuitive experiences across mobile and web. You’ll work on everything from consumer-facing student workflows to complex operational tools used by university staff.
This role is ideal for a designer who thrives in fast-moving startup environments, enjoys owning work from concept through execution, and is excited to help define the future of design at a growing company. There is strong opportunity for this role to evolve into a design leadership position as the team expands.
Own design strategy and execution for both student and university-facing products across mobile and web
Lead design on new products from the ground up — we have multiple greenfield products in active development that will be your first priority
Translate complex workflows and data-heavy tools into elegant, intuitive experiences that instill confidence in both students and admissions staff
Collaborate with Product and Engineering to shape roadmaps, influence product direction, and drive high-quality outcomes
Begin building the foundations of a unified design system that scales across our product ecosystem
Conduct user research and usability testing to inform design decisions
Champion a user-centric mindset and help shape design culture across the organization
✅ You have 6+ years of product design experience with a strong portfolio that spans both mobile-first consumer apps and complex B2B or enterprise tools
✅ You have proven experience designing 0→1 products in early-stage, fast-paced environments
✅ You have demonstrated ability to own product design end-to-end — from discovery through polished execution
✅ You are comfortable working as a solo designer without a team around you, and effective at prioritizing your own work
✅ You are confident collaborating across departments and presenting design decisions to technical and non-technical stakeholders
✅ You have deep empathy for end users — students navigating a complex process, and university staff managing operations
✅ You have strong systems thinking with the ability to simplify complex workflows through intuitive UX
✅ You are a clear communicator who advocates for design and brings clarity to cross-functional collaboration
⭐ Experience designing for AI-powered tools or workflow automation platforms
⭐ Familiarity with higher education, particularly enrollment, transfer admissions, or SIS/CRM integration design patterns
⭐ Experience building or contributing to a design system from scratch
⭐ Interest in eventually building and leading a small design team as EdVisorly grows
✨ Be part of the fastest growing transfer platform for colleges and universities.
✨ Join a mission-driven team transforming how higher education supports students through AI and data.
✨ Work with humble, hardworking teammates who believe in doing things the right way — with integrity, teamwork, and excellence.
✨ Help institutions improve enrollment outcomes while advancing equitable access and opportunity for students nationwide.
At EdVisorly, we’re building a best-in-class team to transform higher education through AI-first technology and student-centered design. We welcome people from all backgrounds and experiences, united by a shared belief: empowering institutions is the fastest path to unlocking opportunity for students.
If you’re ready to lead partnership growth and help redefine the future of transfer in higher education, we’d love to meet you.
EdVisorly is a diverse and inclusive workplace that reflects our students and academic partners and the world we live in. We encourage people from all backgrounds, ages, abilities, and experiences to apply for our roles. We are an equal employment opportunity employer. We do not discriminate based on race, color, ancestry, religion, national origin, sexual orientation, age, citizenship, marital or family status, disability, gender, gender identity or expression, pregnancy or caregiver status, veteran status, or any other legally protected status.
Large language models are transforming software engineering — developers can now go from idea to code faster than ever. But that just shifts complexity downstream: deployment, observability, cost, security, reliability — all of that has to scale too, and LLMs don't yet solve the problem.
That's where Aptible comes in. Since 2014, our cloud delivery platform has been automating security, compliance and reliability for engineering teams whose apps handle the most sensitive data, in the most highly regulated industries.
The need for a platform like Aptible has never been greater. If you're passionate about cloud infrastructure and ensuring DevOps evolves to meet the pressure of AI-assisted development — and you're excited to join a small and highly talented team — we’d love to hear from you.
NEW! Aptible is part of Opti9 Technologies, a cloud solutions provider specializing in managed cloud, security, disaster recovery, and compliance. Joining forces with Opti9 gives Aptible the resources to invest more aggressively in the platform — expanding what we can deliver to the engineering teams who depend on it.
We see great value in bringing together a team with different perspectives, educational backgrounds, and life experiences, and we prioritize diversity within our team. We encourage people from underrepresented backgrounds to apply.
In this role, you’ll build end-to-end product features that make it easier for engineers to ship and operate software, combining customer-facing UI/API work with improvements to workflows, reliability, and the day-to-day internal developer experience.
Ship customer-facing product features primarily for our AWS-based PaaS across our stack, which includes: Ruby on Rails backend systems, a web app (React-TypeScript), a Terraform client (Go), and a CLI client (Ruby), and more.
Work closely with Product and Design to clarify requirements, make tradeoffs, and deliver in small, high-quality increments.
Improve developer experience, including internal tooling, local development workflows, and the path from code to production.
Contribute to reliability and operability improvements, including CI/CD, release processes, observability, and incident response tooling.
Participate in the on call rotation, and help drive follow-ups that reduce repeat incidents and make the system easier to operate.
Partner with our customer-facing engineering team to investigate customer issues and deliver fixes or improvements when needed.
Use AI tools to improve your development workflow and velocity.
General Experience
You have experience shipping production software as a fullstack engineer (targeting mid-level to Senior II). Developer tools experience is a plus.
You communicate extremely well — you are clear, effective, and proactive in your communication, both speaking and in writing.
Technical Expertise
You have strong software engineering fundamentals and coding ability, and comfort working across a fullstack codebase.
You are a prolific and thoughtful developer in at least one mainstream language, and can pick up new languages/frameworks quickly.
You are comfortable building developer-facing interfaces and workflows, not just backend services.
You are comfortable working in cloud infrastructure or distributed systems.
You are comfortable thinking through security, privacy, and compliance implications as part of feature work.
Product Taste
You have a strong track record as an expert in the products you've built, and as a go-to resource for Product Design and Product Management during early feature and product planning.
Startup Compatibility
You want to be part of a small, highly collaborative Engineering Team. You don't let ambiguity or bumps in the road stop you: you identify what's blocking you, take ownership, and drive to get unblocked.
Location: You are located in the contiguous United States.
You want to do hands-on implementation, not just architect solutions.
You're a deeply curious problem solver, and you're not tied to a specific language or technology.
You're invested in team ownership — you care about what your teammates are building, not just your own work.
Aptible has been around for over a decade. We have a real product, real customers who depend on it, and a profitable business. We're not a rocketship chasing hypergrowth — we're a small, tight-knit team doing meaningful work in a complex system. Together, we wield genuine ownership to drive lasting impact: the kind where our work shapes the whole product, not just a corner of it.
We'll be honest: this isn't an "everything is figured out" moment. We're navigating real change, with more on the way -- and we're doing it together. We're not looking for someone who thinks they have all the answers already. We're looking for someone who wants to find them with us.
What keeps us here is each other. We're a team that genuinely cares — about the work, the customers (and the cool things they’re building), and each other. If you want to do hard things alongside people you actually like and respect, and leave a lasting mark on a system that matters, this is that place.
We want to make the experience of interviewing with us as delightful, efficient, fair, respectful, and transparent as possible. A typical process at Aptible might include the following steps. Please note that this may vary by role, and details will be provided to you early on in the process.
Introduction to Aptible with the Hiring Manager
2-3 Skills-Based Interviews with Aptible Team Members
Take-Home Project (You will be compensated for completing this.)

Grand is the first purpose-built fintech for the B2B economy.
We’ve raised over $5m to build the most intelligent fintech platform for businesses that operate in the built world.
Our first product, Grand Profile, helps businesses understand whom they extend credit to, payment terms, unsecured loans, etc. – surfacing early signals of risk and growth so they can act sooner.
Over time, this trust network becomes the foundation for an intelligent payment network where businesses can extend credit, move money, and transact with confidence.
Grand is founded and funded by a group of entrepreneurs, investors and researchers who've built, sold, worked in, and invested in global fintech, commerce, and AI companies, including Mastercard Labs, Stripe, Shopify, Airwallex, American Express, WhenThen, Lovable, and others.
We're hiring a Founding Backend Engineer (Java) to design, build, and operate the backend systems that power Grand.
This is a hands-on individual contributor role for someone who enjoys owning problems end-to-end. You'll design APIs, model data, build event-driven services, and ingest signals from external sources — turning raw data into the product surface that customers actually use.
This is a product-focused engineering role, and at Grand you are your own product manager. You'll work alongside founders, designers, AI engineers, and other product engineers — shaping what gets built, not just how. Your primary responsibility is shipping backend systems that are reliable, secure, well-designed, and production-ready.
This is a 0→1 environment, where you help define how Grand feels, behaves, and earns trust from day one.
Design and build Java services and APIs that power Grand and the customer-facing product
Model the data that powers our product — turning messy external signals into a coherent product surface
Build event-driven pipelines that ingest, transform, and enrich data from external sources
Operate production systems with a security-first mindset — regulated data, audit, compliance
Design APIs and data models that hold up under real distributed concerns: latency, retries, idempotency, partial failure
Build search, indexing, and query systems at scale
Integrate AI capabilities into backend workflows where they make the product meaningfully better
Make product decisions on what to build and how, in collaboration with founders and other engineers
Use AI-assisted development tools to accelerate coding, testing, and refactoring
Own features through their full lifecycle, from idea → production → iteration
Strong backend experience building production systems in Java with a modern framework (Micronaut, Spring Boot, Quarkus or similar)
Experience designing APIs, modelling data, and reasoning about distributed concerns (latency, retries, idempotency, failure handling)
Experience shipping and operating software in AWS-based production environments
Experience with event-driven or message-based architectures in production
Experience building products in fintech, payments, credit, identity, KYB, or another regulated/financial environment
Security, data-protection, and compliance awareness when building production systems
Familiarity with CI/CD workflows
Experience working in startup or 0→1 environments
AI-first mindset, using modern tools to increase velocity responsibly
GraphQL in production (AppSync a bonus)
Search and indexing experience (OpenSearch, Elasticsearch, or similar)
Data ingestion and ETL at scale, particularly from third-party feeds or APIs
Serverless experience (AWS Lambda, Step Functions, EventBridge)
Real-time features in production (WebSockets, server-sent events, event streams)
Infrastructure-as-code (Pulumi, Terraform, CDK)
Experience integrating with AI/ML systems in cloud-native environments
Excellent Salary: Competitive and reflective of impact and responsibility
Equity: Meaningful ownership in a long-term company
Hybrid Work: At least 3 days in our Dublin office, with extended remote on request — outcomes matter more than optics
Health Insurance & Pension: Comprehensive cover
Holidays: Generous holiday allowance
Equipment: High-end spec laptop and setup of your choice
You want to build a company, not just code at one. You're a product-minded engineer with a startup mindset, comfortable operating in a 0→1 environment, making progress with imperfect information and taking responsibility for outcomes. You have a bias toward shipping real value, not ceremony or over-engineering.
You enjoy building systems that businesses actually rely on — the kind where reliability, correctness, and trust really matter. You care about how data flows, how APIs behave under load, and how messy real-world inputs get turned into clean product surface. Bonus points if you've worked with credit bureau data, business registries, or KYB/KYC feeds before and found that kind of messy third-party data interesting rather than painful.
You care about reliability, performance, and clarity across the stack, not just getting something working once. You're a clear communicator who can reason about trade-offs and constraints with founders, designers, and other engineers.
You use AI tools to move faster, but you understand the code you ship and stand behind it. You thrive in ambiguity, take pride in owning problems end-to-end, and build software that earns trust.
You're based in Dublin, or in easy commuting distance (or ready to be), and ready to help build a product from the inside out.
If this sounds like you, let’s talk.
